A clear process makes better spaces possible.
Every Fika project follows a thoughtful sequence—from understanding your space and defining its creative direction to guiding the decisions that bring it to life.
Explore the ProcessEvery decision aligned.
What to expect when working with Fika.
Creative direction first. Every decision follows.
Fika is an Interior Curation Studio for private homes and boutique stays.
We bring furniture, materials, lighting and finishing layers together through one clear creative direction—helping you avoid disconnected purchases and create a space that feels cohesive from beginning to end.
We do not begin by selecting products. We begin by understanding the space, the people using it and the atmosphere it should hold.
Different projects need different levels of support.
You do not need to choose alone. We recommend the most suitable level of involvement based on your goals, timeline, investment range and how much of the process you want Fika to manage.
Design Consultation
For clients who need clarity before making important decisions about layout, colour, materials, furnishing or project priorities. You receive professional recommendations and a clear next-step plan, while managing research, purchasing and implementation independently.
Design Package
For clients who want a complete creative direction and actionable design package, then feel comfortable placing orders and working with their own contractor. Scope may include moodboards, colour direction, layout, concept boards, FF&E specifications and a curated procurement guide.
Full-Service Delivery
For clients who want Fika to remain involved beyond the concept. Depending on the project, this may include sourcing, quotation review, procurement coordination, supplier communication, site reviews, installation planning and final styling.
Each decision prepares the next one.
We do not design the entire project in one jump. Each phase is reviewed and aligned before the next begins, protecting the creative direction, budget and final result.
Understand the space.
We begin by reviewing your project brief, site information, functional needs, preferences, investment range and intended timeline.
- Client brief and project priorities
- Photos, videos, plans and measurements
- Existing items to retain
- Functional and operational requirements
The practical context behind every decision that follows.
Several visual directions may be explored before one is approved.
Choose the creative direction.
Fika develops moodboard directions and colour palettes to define how the space should feel before detailed selections begin. Depending on scope, several directions may be presented for review.
- Moodboard options
- Colour palette
- Design language and atmosphere
- One approved creative direction
Make the space work.
Once the creative direction is aligned, we develop the layout around circulation, function, scale and proportion. The layout is reviewed before detailed concept work begins.
- Furniture layout recommendations
- Functional zoning
- Circulation review
- Scale and proportion checks
Layout, circulation and proportion are resolved before products are finalised.
The approved direction becomes a complete visual language for the room.
Build the room concept.
The approved direction and layout are translated into room concept boards showing how furniture, colour, materials, lighting and decorative layers work together.
- Room concept boards
- Furniture and lighting direction
- Material and finish recommendations
- Artwork, textile and decor direction
Curate the procurement guide.
We research and compare products against the approved concept, budget, proportion and availability. Most categories include several curated options rather than a single recommendation.
- Product images and specifications
- Supplier links and indicative pricing
- Alternative options where appropriate
- Final selected list and budget overview
Each piece is selected to support the approved concept, proportion, investment and availability.
Material decisions, placement and styling protect the approved concept until the final space is complete.
Bring the direction to life.
For projects with delivery support, Fika helps protect the approved direction through sourcing, material decisions, supplier coordination, site review, installation and final styling.
- Material and paint confirmation
- Supplier and contractor coordination
- Site and installation support
- Final placement and styling
Every meeting has one clear purpose.
The exact number of meetings depends on your scope, but each review is structured around a specific decision before the project moves forward.
Align the brief, priorities, investment range and project conditions.
Choose the moodboard direction, align the colour palette and review the proposed layout.
Review the room concept boards and confirm the overall visual direction before sourcing is finalised.
Compare furniture, lighting and decor options together, including pricing, proportion and availability.
Confirm the final procurement list, budget overview and next implementation steps.
The standards behind every project.
Every Lead Stylist works on one assigned project at a time. Your project does not compete for creative attention.
We define the atmosphere, function and story before selecting products.
Furniture should support the way the space is used—not force the space to work around it.
We edit until every piece belongs. More products do not automatically create a better space.
Every recommendation is considered against the agreed investment. We do not design first and calculate later.
Where appropriate, we curate several suitable choices so you can decide with confidence without losing the overall direction.
Every project deserves a few details people remember—the pieces guests ask about and the objects that give the space identity.
We can work with your existing contractor or recommend trusted project partners when needed.
Different specialists may contribute, but every decision follows one shared creative direction and Fika standard.
We design around the people who will live, work or stay in the space. Everything else follows.
Before recommending something new, we consider what can be retained, reused or improved.
Each stage builds on the previous one. We do not jump ahead, because every decision influences the next.
Clear input keeps the project moving.
Context and timely decisions.
You do not need a perfect brief. You do need to share the information that allows the team to make accurate decisions.
- Photos, videos, plans and measurements
- Your intended use and functional needs
- Investment range and timeline
- Items that must remain
- One primary decision-maker
- Consolidated feedback by the agreed date
One project. One clear channel.
Each project has a primary contact and agreed communication channel. Important approvals, scope changes and financial decisions are confirmed in writing.
- Scheduled review calls
- Shared project workspace
- Written approval at each decision gate
- Consolidated feedback—not fragmented messages
- Progress updates based on project scope
- Response during agreed working periods

Before you decide.
Can I purchase the products myself?
Yes. Design Package clients usually purchase directly from suppliers using Fika's procurement guide. Your proposal will confirm whether ordering support is included.
Will Fika give me more than one product option?
Where appropriate, yes. We often present several curated options for the same category. Every option is filtered for style, proportion, budget and availability before it reaches you.
Can Fika work with my existing contractor?
Yes. We can collaborate with your preferred contractor, builder or supplier. If you do not have a team, Fika may recommend trusted project partners depending on location and scope.
How many revision rounds are included?
The number of review and revision rounds is stated in your proposal. A revision round means one consolidated set of feedback. New directions introduced after approval may require an additional fee and timeline adjustment.
What happens if a product becomes unavailable?
Product availability can change quickly. Fika may recommend a suitable alternative that maintains the approved direction. The amount of replacement sourcing included depends on your service scope.
Can the project budget change?
Supplier pricing, freight, construction conditions and client-requested changes can affect the final cost. Fika tracks recommendations against the agreed investment direction but cannot control third-party pricing.
Does Fika provide technical drawings?
Only the drawings and recommendations listed in your proposal are included. Architecture, engineering, MEP and detailed fabrication drawings require the appropriate technical consultant.
Can I change the concept after it has been approved?
Yes, but a major change in direction after approval may require revised fees, deliverables and timing because later decisions have already been built on the approved concept.
Your project starts with context.
Once Fika understands the project, we recommend the appropriate level of support and prepare a tailored proposal covering scope, deliverables, timing and investment.
Share the project type, current condition, intended use, investment range and timeline.
We discuss what feels unresolved and the level of support you may need.
Your proposal confirms the recommended service, scope, timeline, investment and payment schedule.
The project begins after acceptance, contract signing, initial payment and receipt of the required project information.
We set up the project management and design presentation files, then begin the first phase.
Tell us where you are now.
Every thoughtful project begins with the right context. Share your space, priorities and questions, and we'll help you identify the most suitable next step.
